    Job Title: Piping Construction Supervisor

    Project: Spirit - Onshore

    Duration: 11 Weeks

     

    WorleyParsons is recruiting for a Piping Construction Supervisor to join our site team at Barrow Gas Terminal. 

     

     

    Role

    • To provide safe and effective supervision in line with Company / Project procedures and working practices ensuring all workscope is delivered safely and to the highest standard and in line with Project budget and schedule requirements.

     

    Objectives

    • To provide safe and effective supervision in line with Company / Project procedures and working practices ensuring all workscope is delivered safely and to the highest standard and in line with Project budget and schedule requirements.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Management of workscope execution as applicable.
    • Management of resources (supervision of Foremen and Workforce) as required.
    • Maintenance of records and accurate reporting of progress etc as required by the project.
    • Conduct workforce meetings and delivery of Tool Box Talks as required.
    • Ensure all workscope is completed in line with the project PTW system as applicable and that this is adhered to at all times.
    • Management of ‘Timewriting’ for discipline teams, ensuring accuracy.
    • Ensure all workscope is completed as per the requirements of the applicable workpacks / jobcards. 
    • HSSE leadership and drive
    • Ensuring all incidents and near misses are reported and lessons learned.
    • Drive ownership of HSSE through team
    • Lead by example delivering WorleyParsons behaviours
    • Provide positive leadership on HSSE issues

    Qualifications

     

    Essential:

    • WorleyParsons mandatory training, induction, risk awareness, etc.
    • Technical apprenticeship or equivalent training scheme
    • Related technical qualification, City and Guilds or equivalent
    • OR - In lieu of formal technical qualifications, candidate may offer substantial experience in a supervisory role with an auditable track record of consistently good performance.
    • Management of working at height
    • Harness training
    • Abrasive wheels
    • CCNSG safety passport

     

    Desirable:

    • Proven Supervisory background
    • IT Literate / (Excel / Word)

     

    Experience

     

    Essential:

    • Ability to liaise with vendors and subcontractors.
    • Able to produce accurate daily progress reports and time writing.
    • To participate in the communication of all safety related materials.
    • Knowledge of Computerised maintenance management systems.
    • Specialist in mechanical, instrument, electrical or fabrication construction.

    Desirable:

    • Previous experience in a similar role.

     

    Competencies                                                                        

     

    Generic:

    • Ability to demonstrate effective and efficient management of processes and personnel.
    • Ability to demonstate high level understanding of HSE safe working practices / procedures and their implemetation.
    • Ability to react to changing deadlines and achieve project goals / milestones.
    • Extensive experience of construction related activities.

    Technical:

    • IT Literate in all major software packages (Word / Excel / PowerPoint etc).
