    Overview:

     

    Our client are industry leading drilling structure specialists based in Great Yarmouth. They have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HSE Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

     

    The HSE Manager will ensure our clients management have the tools and information to comply with legislative, industry and company practices.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    • Overall responsibility for the management and development of the HSEMS;
    • Ensure that the business operates to the highest level of HSE standards and ensure safety compliance as per the company's HSE Manual 000 Section 4;
    • To administer the company's third party registration to BS OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.
    • To advise and support DSL Management on all HSE issues;
    • To liaise with clients to promote and maintain interface links for HSE;
    • To act as focal point for HSE Audits and inspections for regulatory bodies and clients;
    • Establish remote site standards and conduct site visits to ensure compliance, as required;
    • Investigate accidents/incidents and report accurately to regulatory bodies and the board;
    • To provide HSE responses to tenders as relevant;
    • To undertake offshore visits as and when required.

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    You will ideally have:

    • An established background in the industry with experience of construction related activities.
    • Knowledge and experience of 14001 with a focus on the transition from 2004 to 2015 requirements is essential
    • Knowledge and experience of FPAL requirements, processes and audits.
    • Ability to make a positive contribution to the continued enhancement of the company's commitment to the health and safety of its employees.

     

    You will ideally hold the following qualifications:

    • Diploma in Health and Safety Management or equivalent;
    • Offshore Survival Certificate;
    • OGUK Medical

     

    Experience gained from working in service companies, providing services to the major operators, both production and drilling in the UK and Overseas would be highly advantageous.

     

    Working hours will be 0830 - 1730 Monday - Thursday and 0830 - 1700 Friday with a 1 hour lunch break.

     

    On completion of a three month probationary period there will be a 4% matched pension, single person health care cover, subsided gym membership with 50% of the annual subscription paid and 4 X annual salary life assurance.
